Gift Card Giveaway & Challenge Winners Announced!

If you follow my blog you know that a couple of weeks ago Hubby Tom and I were invited to the Worlds Longest Picnic Table event in San Francisco hosted by Safeway as the launched their new line of OPEN NATURE all natural products!

I shared a few recipes that were developed by Tyler Florence, Ultimate Open Nature BBQ Ribs, Ultimate Open Nature BBQ Chicken, and of course the most amazing Open Nature Summertime Potato Salad. All of these recipes would be perfect for your 4th of July BBQ!

I’m giving away two $25 grocery gift cards!

The nice folks at Safeway sent me a gift card so I could try some of their new Open Nature products and also sent me $25 grocery gift cards to giveaway to two of my lucky readers! In my area we have Safeway stores but where you live the grocery chain might go by another name such as, Vons, Pavilions, Genuardis, Dominick’s, CARRS, Randalls or Tom Thumb.The gift cards can be used at any of the stores listed.

Nutmeg Notes

We got new outdoor lights to coordinate with the new house color and I helped hubby Tom install them last night. They look amazing! We finally found a beautiful Martha Stewart framed mirror to go in the downstairs bathroom and I hope to get it up today. I am not a fan of Martha but this mirror was just what we were looking for! The new faucets are still in their boxes but if hubby Tom feels like being a “plumber” they might get installed this weekend. The bathroom remodeling projects are almost complete. I don’t recommend doing three bathrooms at the same time-ever!

Yesterday daughter Katy and I went to Sam’s club and stocked up on pork ribs, pork roast, ground turkey, corn on the cob and fruit so we are ready for a BBQ style long weekend.

I made vanilla frozen yogurt in the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and it turned out fabulous! I will try to get that recipe and the Kale Broccoli Slaw posted yet this weekend. So many good recipes, so little time for blogging!

Looking forward to good food and knocking out some household chores!

    Would love to try just about any of the Open Nature sausages. I’ve been trying a lot of new sausage flavors this summer, especially chicken sausages. They are much more flavorful than I would have thought.
