The Secrets To Ultimate Weight Loss – Chef AJ

Chef AJ’s book “The Secrets To Ultimate Weight Loss” is now on Amazon! I am so excited about this because Chef AJ’s Ultimate Weight Loss Program has changed my life. I was a yo – yo dieter until I joined her program in 2015. I got to my goal weight easily following her program and it has been easy to stay on for maintenance. We all know we can lose weight but so few of us have had success in keeping our weight off. Finally a health promoting lifestyle program that helps you obtain the healthiest version of you.

I was at my all time highest weight in 2002. I joined Weight Watchers and got to my goal weight after dropping about 47 pounds but it was difficult for me to eat all foods in moderation and keep the weight off. I gained back aboout 30 pounds and yo -yo dieted. In 2013 I adopted a WFPB  – which stands for a whole foods plant based diet. I was doing great – lost weight and was feeling awesome until my body became hypothyroid. Even though I didn’t change anything about my plant based diet or my exercise I started gaining weight again. I heard about Chef AJ’s Ultimate Weight Loss program and I asked her if she thought I could lose weight even though I was suffering with hyporhyroidism. She told me she was also hypothyroid and she still managed to lose weight following her Ultimate Weight Loss protocols! That was all the encouragement I needed. I joined her UWL program in 2015, did what she said to do and lost my weight. I have maintained my weight loss and can’t believe I can eat all these amazing plant based foods, feel full, never have to go hungry and yet I have a slim body and no cravings for junk food! It’s the best thing I ever did for my body and my mind. Eating this way creates a calm and stable brain chemistry that makes it much easier to eat healthy and feel great. I no longer stress over my weight or what to eat or what not to eat! I have peace of mind and a healthy body. This is not a fast weight loss program but it is a sustainable lifestyle plan.     I’m very curious abou this….Is it possible to control hypothyroid with diet alone or must you take medication?
    You have done an amazing job on your journey and I enjoy your recipes. I have been WFPB for 5 years and love this way of eating and preparing food.

      Hi Mary,

      I still take meds for hypothyroidism – I don’t believe diet can change that – once the thyroid stops making enough hormone you need to replace it. What the UWL diet did for me was to help me lose the weight I gained when my hormones lowered too much. Thank you so much for your kinds words. Congratulations on being WFPB for 5 years! That is so awesome.

    I bought the book due to your review. 🙂 I have a question about the UWL FB Group. I believe the UWL Program is 3 weeks long. Do you get to remain in the FB group forever though?

      Hi Michelle – yes once you pay to join the on line UWL group you get to stay in the facebook group forever! It is great place for support, additional recipes, product suggestions, on going fun challenges to keep you motivated and a great group of like minded people. I highly recommend joining!     How much is it to join please? I have Hashimoto and Hypothyroid and it’s been 26 years of dieting and gaining weight! Frustrating!

    Hello,
    I know I’m super late to comment on this post (only by 6 years lol) but I was wondering if you might know if Chef AJ still does the UWL program. I sent her an email a couple weeks ago, but haven’t heard back yet.

    I finished listening to her book on Audible last week and have started preparing to start the UWL program. I could really use an online UWL Class and support from a WFPB SOFAS-free community. Do you know if there might be an online class in the near future?

    Also, I should have realized that when I bought her book on Audible that I would miss out on all her recipes in the printed version of the book. Do you have any favorite 10-minute recipes for non-starchy veggies?

      Chef AJ no longer has the UW group but I think she offers other types of weight loss courses. You should check out her Chef AJ facebook page and leave her a comment or question on one of her posts or her Instagram Chef AJ account, or go to her website and sign up to be on her mailing list. Hope that helps.
