Peanut Butter Nice Cream Dairy Free – Sugar Free

This is the best version of a dairy free, sugar free, creamy dreamy frozen dessert ever! Just 4 simple ingredients are required for a guilt free treat that tastes incredibly indulgent. Freeze those very ripe bananas right now so you can make yourself a batch of this deliciousness.

Frozen banana nice cream flavored with low fat peanut butter powder is a healthier version of a high fat frozen treat. Serve it a la mode over our new Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Blondies! Enjoy it in a dish with a drizzle of our new Vegan Chocolate Sauce. It’s like eating a peanut butter cup with a spoon.

By the way, it was about 100 degrees the day I was trying to photograph my new creations outside in natural light. They were melting way faster than I could take photos.

It quickly melted before my eyes. Of course, I had to eat it, so it wouldn’t go to waste! Such is the life of a food blogger.

Substitutions:

Bananas – you can try freezing oven roasted, peeled and diced or mashed, Japanese sweet potatoes or Hannah yams. They are not as sweet as very ripe bananas, so you made need to add some date paste, date syrup or date sugar to taste. I have not tried this so I don’t know how it will turn out.

Oat milk – use any kind of plant milk that you like.

Vanilla Powder – vanilla extract

Peanut Powder – peanut butter, but of course it’s going to be a much higher fat content.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Variation: After the nice cream is creamy and smooth add 2 tablespoons chocolate chips and use the pulse function to incorporate them into the mixture.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 frozen bananas, very ripe, peeled
  • 1/4 cup plant milk, I used JOI oat milk
  • 3 tablespoons peanut powder, no added salt or sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla powder or vanilla extract

Equipment

  • High powered blender or food processor

Method
 

  1. Put all ingredients in blender or food processor fitted with an S blade. Process until smooth and creamy.
