July is my birthday month and this year is a special birthday as I will be turning 60! In honor of my birthday two of my favorite companies are sponsoring giveaways for subscribers to the blog who live in the Continental United States! California Balsamic will be giving three subscribers each two – 3 ounce bottles of their specialty balsamic vinegars this is a $20 value! Tom and I are giving away two of our Mexican Fiesta Cooking Webinars and Holland Bowl Mill is giving away one 12 inch solid cherry fruit bowl worth $130!
The Holland Bowl Cherry Fruit Bowl will be the 12 inch – the one in the photo above is a 15 inch so the bowl for the giveaway is a little smaller. It is a $130.00 value!
Watch the video for all the details!
The contest will run from July 15th – July 22nd midnight Pacific Time 2019.
Here Are The Rules For The Giveaway.
You must be a subscriber to this blog – you can fill out the subscribe tab at the top of the blog page if you are not already a subscriber. You must live in the continental United States.
You must post a photo of your chopped salad and write a description of what is in your salad on the pinned post at the top of the Nutmeg Notebook Facebook page. (No worries if you don’t own a wood bowl for chopping – I have a new video posted below to show you a couple alternative ways to chop a salad!) The pinned post on Facebook will be posted on July 15th.
You can share a different chopped salad photo with a description of the ingredients everyday of the contest if you want to. You will get your name in the drawing for each entry made. So the more chopped salads you eat and share photos and descriptions of, the more chances you have to win!
The contest will run from July 15th – July 22nd midnight Pacific Time 2019.
The giveaway is for continental United States residents only – due to shipping constraints.
Prize winners will be randomly drawn so everyone has an equal chance at winning!
The randomly picked winners will be announced on Tuesday July 23rd – on my birthday!
Good luck everyone – now get chopping!
There are so many ways to adorn a big beautiful chopped salad!
Happy Chopping!
Don’t worry if you don’t have a wood bowl and a mezzaluna knife you can still make a chopped salad using a large cutting board and a sharp knife. Another alternative is the OXO Salad Chopper.
I chopped this salad with a knife and cutting board and also with the OXO Salad Chopper! Chopped Salads are such a game changer. The flavor is amazing – you get all the flavors in every bite. A chopped salad is easier to chew because it is cut smaller, it’s more flavorful and it sure is pretty! If you are new to my blog check out my Chopped Salad post and video.
Thank you to everyone who follows our blog, Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Your support and comments are greatly appreciated!
Be sure to check out our Amazon Affiliate Page where we share many of our favorite small kitchen appliances, kitchen tools, food products, books and fun things for the grandchildren! Thank you for your support!
We are also Holland Bowl Mill Affiliates. The 15 inch Holland Bowl Mill Cherry fruit bowl has a permanent home on our kitchen island. It’s beautiful and useful. The heart shaped bowl makes me happy – I love everything heart shaped! We use our 15 inch Beechwood bowl to chop our salads everyday. Eating a salad for one meal every day helped me lose weight and become a size 4. I still eat a salad for one meal a day but now it’s a Big Beautiful Chopped salad and it helps me stay a size 4! See the Chopped Salad Blog Post to find out how you can incorporate a chopped salad into your daily food plan and how you can get a free mezzaluna knife with your Holland Bowl order when you use our affiliate link as well as free engraving and free shipping.

Love your informative videos!! I like that you give different options to achieve the same goal so everyone can pick what they would like to use or can afford!! Sometimes I struggle with enough time at work to eat all of my big salad–but now I see I should chop it up more and have smaller pieces!!
Thanks for sharing!!

Amazing website! So helpful! I am new to plant based SOS diet! Question regarding the contest for July- I would love to enter but I am not on Facebook-Do you have any other options available? Thank you for your time!
Tami Kramer
Hi Robin,
For this contest we are using Facebook as we need all of the entries in one place and we want the photos and descriptions there to inspire everyone and show them the wide variety of chopped salads that can be made. It’s the first time we have done a Facebook promoted giveway. Getting a facebook account is free and easy so you might consider setting one up if you would like to enter this giveaway. In order to be fair to everyone we must abide by the rules of the giveaway that were published. Thank you for your understanding.
Have a beautifu day.
Tami

HI Tami! You are correct – chopped salads are game changers. We enjoy them almost every day. My husband who loves his dressing, says you don’t even need dressing with a chopped salad. I agree, but I do love your Creamy Balsamic! It’s the best SOS free dressing I have had so far.
I made your crispy spring rolls for my parents this weekend – and your darn good vegan sausages. Both were a hit – even with my non-vegan Dad and husband. 😉
Thank you (and Tom) for all your work – love your videos. I so appreciate your blog and recipes! It keeps me on the straight and narrow!
