Watermelon Lime Sorbet Ninja CREAMi

October 24, 2022 by Tami Kramer 3 Comments

Looking for something to do with that leftover watermelon? Turn it into something special with the Ninja CREAMI. Add the juice of one lime, freeze and spin it into a scoopable creamy sorbet. Enjoy a delightful healthy dessert made simply from fruit. The Ninja CREAMi is a game changer when it comes to healthy desserts. If you don’t have a Ninja CREAMi don’t worry I have a link to show you how to make watermelon-lime popsicles instead. Oh so yummy!

It’s amazing how you can take such simple ingredients and “spin” them into an incredibly enjoyable dessert that is healthy, low calorie density and weight loss friendly.

Use up that leftover watermelon and turn it into something scrumptious.

The juice of 1 lime adds a nice boost of flavor. I didn’t use the zest but you can if you wish.

Once it is blended pour it into your CREAMi pint container.

I scraped the foam from the top before freezing the pint. Make sure to freeze for a full 24 hours so the contents are frozen all the way through.

Be sure to label which flavor the pint is. Once frozen it can be difficult to tell what the contents are.

I like to have it set out for about 10 minutes at room temperature before spinning. If it isn’t creamy after the first spin put the pint back on the machine and use the Re-Spin button.

We made a short little video to show you how to make this refreshing treat!

If you have extra watermelon – lime leftover after filling your CREAMi pint, add some crushed ice and sparkling water for a refreshing drink.

Equipment

  • Ninja CREAMi

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Watermelon without seeds
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  • Blend together and fill up to the fill line in the CREAMi pint. Scoop off any foam.
  • Put the lid on the pint and label it.
  • Keeping the pint level – freeze for 24 hours.
  • Let sit out on the counter at room temperature for 10 minutes before spinning.
  • If it comes out powdery, put the pint back on the machine and use the Re-Spin button to spin it again.
  • If you have 1/3 or more of the pint leftover, smooth the top and refreeze. You can spin it again another day.

Notes

If you don’t have lime juice you can use the watermelon all by itself and it is still delicious.
Variations:
Try other types of melon, honeydew, cantaloupe and so on.
Add a little fresh mint- finely chopped if you wish.

What I love about the Ninja Creami is that we can make small batches of frozen treats with customized flavors and mixins. It’s easy to create unique concoctions that we each love.
