There’s nothing quite like a fresh fruit crisp to capture the flavors of summer! This Peach Crisp is one of my favorite easy desserts—especially when juicy ripe peaches are in season. It’s naturally sweetened, oil-free, and gluten-free, making it a healthy treat you can feel good about enjoying anytime. This recipe is simple, comforting, and 100% plant-based. You can enjoy it warm out of the oven, chilled from the fridge, or topped with a scoop of homemade banana nice cream for a heavenly dessert (or breakfast—no judgment here!). Try a dollop of Home Made Soy Yogurt on top for a special breakfast treat.

Why You’ll Love This Peach Crisp
- 🌿 Whole food plant-based
- 🌾 Gluten-free and oil-free
- 🍑 Naturally sweetened with maple or date syrup
- 🧁 Perfectly spiced and comforting
- 🔁 Customizable with your favorite fruit
This is a fuss-free recipe with just a few pantry staples. I don’t even peel the peaches—there’s fiber and flavor in those skins! I was short on peaches this time, so I used a combination of fresh peaches, frozen cherries and frozen mango to make up the 2 pounds of fruit for this batch. It was fabulous! Customize your own fruit combination with whatever you have on hand.

If you use mapley syrup you will get a lightly golden topping. Date syrup will make the topping a darker color but it’s still delicious. I bake it in my Breville Smart Oven Air on the bake cycle. It doesn’t heat up my kitchen on these hot summer days.
Perfect for brownies, fruit crisp and one dish meals. Classic white goes with everything.

This Peach Crisp is packed with wholesome ingredients that offer a variety of nutritional benefits. Peaches are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants that support immune health and skin vitality. Rolled oats provide heart-healthy fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar and keep you feeling full longer. Almond flour adds a dose of healthy fats, protein, and vitamin E, while ground flaxseeds contribute omega-3 fatty acids and additional fiber for digestive health. The natural sweetness from maple syrup or date syrup avoids refined sugar, and applesauce keeps the topping moist without the need for oil. Altogether, this dessert is a nutrient-dense alternative to traditional crisps, offering both flavor and function in every bite.
This Peach Crisp is proof that dessert can be both nourishing and indulgent. It’s the kind of recipe I come back to again and again because it’s just that good—and that easy. Whether you’re serving it to guests or treating yourself after dinner, it’s a comforting classic with a wholesome twist.

- In a medium size bowl mix together all of the topping ingredients until well combined. Spread topping evenly over prepared filling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Note if using date syrup the topping will be dark brown. Maple syrup does make for a prettier topping and that is what I used for the photos on this post.
